Here are some steps that I am trying to boost my self-esteem.........
1. Focus your attention always on your potentials, talents and abilities and not on your limitations and failures.
We all have enough potentials and qualities to live a happy, fulfilled life. We need to know who we really are. When we think of our strengths, of things that we can do extremely well and of our many achievements our self-esteem. boosts up.
When we gain new skills and new knowledge it gives us more self-confidence. We have no limitations; never impose limits on our potentials, on our ability to learn and grow. We must allow our creative and innovative enthusiasm to flower beyond all limits and space.
Failures will always be there. Transform your limitations and failures into opportunities for you to grow and develop your qualities. Believe that you are full of possibilities and not a bundle of failures. When you forget about your limitations you will surprise yourself.
2. Devote yourself to something you do well, to something you love doing.
You have so many strengths which you possess much more than other people. Develop some of these skills and talents and use them to express your personality. Develop a desire to make a difference in the world.
Award and praise yourself when you do something well. Self-confidence shoots up when you are successful.
Also commit yourself to some voluntary services. Helping others gives you a feeling of gratification, appreciation from others and a sense of accomplishment. This too can boost your self-esteem.

3. Dream big.
Never be satisfied with small dreams. Winners always dream big. Think big and act big. Have many big dreams and goals so that you will at least make some of them real.
Well-defined goals give us direction, a feeling of accomplishment and a sense of purpose and vision. We all need to have goals. Life without a goal is not worth living. Higher the goals, higher is our self-esteem.

4. Dream winning.
Believe in your ability to win. See yourself always as succeeding in everything you do. Visualize success before you actually get to work and you will never fail. You have unlimited personal power. Use this power to win and boost your confidence.
Measure yourself and others optimistically and honestly even when you fail. Don’t blame others for your failures. Every failure is a stepping-stone towards success. So you have no reason to be worried.

5. Forget about the expectations of others.
Don’t be worried about what others think about you or what others expect from you. You have to live your life. They expect nothing from you except that you do well and put to maximum use your potentials.
Never allow others and situations to control your life. You are the king of yourself and only you have the authority to make you happy or sad. What you think of yourself is much more important than what others think about you. Never compare yourself negatively with others. They have their strengths but you have your innumerable strengths.

6. Have good friends and supporters.
Build a network of supportive relationships. Good friends can boost your self-esteem. Seek advice of good people and you will walk the right path. Always have good, self-confident people around you but always remember you alone are responsible for what you do.
We must become positive and optimistic about ourselves and others and create a positive environment around us. Speak well of others and us. The more we think positively about others and ourselves the more positive we become. Show confidence and trust in others just as we trust ourselves.
Having self-esteem is more important than having good health and wealth. If you have high self-esteem, you will be successful in all that do. You just need to be yourself, believe in yourself and success will run after you.
